VISA INFORMATION
If you need a VISA to enter Mexico or a Transit VISA to change planes in the US we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. If Administrative Processing is required the wait can be in excess of 60 days. IEEE Communication Society will not refund author registrations or publish no show papers in IEEE Xplore due to VISA issues.

Citizens of these countries DO NOT require visa to visit Mexico:

Andorra, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong*, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay, United States of America, Venezuela.

*Chinese citizens with passports issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

This option also applies for permanent legal residents in the USA, Canada or Japan, regardless of nationality.

ENTRY FROM THE US
Access will be granted in every single entry point to Mexico to all of those foreigners (regardless of their nationality) on tourist, transmigrate or business matters that arrive to the country from a U.S.A. inbound flight and have with them a valid and not expired visa issued by the U.S.A. government.
In other words, all foreigners, regardless of their nationality, visiting Mexico as tourists, transmigrate or for business matters won’t need a Mexican visa as long as they arrive to the country from the USA.

Citizens of other countries require visa. For more information, please contact the nearest Mexican Consulate or Embassy.


VISA ASSISTANCE LETTERS
IEEE Communications Society and the Universidad del Caribe can provide a letter to the following individuals. Authors of Technical Papers, Keynote, Tutorial and Panel Speakers, Members of the IEEE WCNC 2011 Organizing Committee and IEEE WCNC 2011 Attendees who have a fully paid registration.

Visa letters will state only the facts:
• Conference title, dates and location
• If you are an author, speaker committee member, or attendee

To receive a letter please follow the instructions below



 

Technical Paper Authors

Log into EDAS site, and find your paper.

Toward the bottom of the page, you will find
in the properties column the words "visa letter",
and beside it, an image of an envelope outlined
in yellow.

Click on this envelope, and you will be able to
confirm or change your address information
reflected in the letter.

Then the system will generate the letter for
your use.

If you have any problems, please click the
help tab in the EDAS system.

Please note you will receive both a letter
for a VISA to enter Mexico and a letter
to assist you in receiving a Transit Visa
for entering the US. Please dispose of
the one you do not need.
